Bidra med feedbackAfter I had spent $85 for a lunch, I was presented with my order “Grilled Halloumi “Käse” tasting like Tofu! Eastern be European, I grew up with the beautiful smell, tasty taste and solid chewing texture of Halloumi – There was no smell or salty taste...– except Bland so called cheese! It was withdrawn from today’s waitstaff (female) without a single word, why we do not touch our meals!! But when I could not make it worse, the garlic bread came out in 4 pieces the size of a bread, so badly prepared it with cheese that had melted in a microwave, burned the roof of my mouth. I would like to ask myself why every boss would think that this is a suitable way to present food to people (even if they were all pensioners). People pay hard earned money and expect high-quality food given the prices the Cross Keys fees. We will not come back and will certainly say that all our friends will not come.
Having spent some time in the Pascoe Vale area, I can say that the Crossed Keys Hotel is highly regarded in the community for its dining room. The menu offers a variety of options that are generously portioned. The service is prompt and the beer is served cold. Even my partner, who is usually hard to please, enjoys dining at the Crossed Keys.
We were the only bullets in the Bistro Saturday at 12.30. The pork carving came as two large carvings, 4 chat potatoes were large. Pigmeat and potatoes were very hot. The Sauerkraut with them was extra cold. Unfortunately, the meal was bland... and very dry.
Pleasant environment, friendly staff, good food, quiet food. My wife and I were here several times, so obviously it is worth a second and third visit. I will definitely come back.
There is a strong menu with choices to suit most dietary requirements. It is neat and tidy and reminiscent of a club bistro. There is access for those with mobility challenges.
