The meals are generously sized and delicious. Club merchandise is available for purchase for those who are passionate supporters, and visitors are also welcome. Conveniently, the Windy Hill is just a short walk from the Essendon train station.
16 of us 10 are vegetarian. I asked the restaurant before, whether there are still a few vegetarian options that they were fantastic. even a special menu with the extra printed veg options. everyone was delighted to appreciate that they were among them. as usual, the meals were very generously delicious. the plant-based burger was delicious! thank you. windy hill .go bombers :
I came here with a group of 10 friends who regularly meet in the Essendon Moonee Ponds area. If you are looking for large portion sizes, then this is the place to go. Even as someone who eats a lot, I found the portion sizes to be extremely generous. However, the prices are on the higher side, as my three lamb skewers with chips and a small salad cost around $27. My friends also enjoyed their meals, but some couldn't finish everything. The senior menu is very good and with only 15 months until I qualify, I may opt for the smaller portion sizes. The option of a fixed price menu with choices for dessert and entrees would be more tempting. The service was friendly and efficient, with plates being cleared as soon as we finished. They also have pokies and a luck side of the venue. Note: wheelchair accessible, disabled accessible, child-friendly, and reasonable parking available.
It's a past, since Essendon football club has played her last Australian football league game, but Essendon and windy hill is still synonymous. the floor is still used, but not by the bombers. many fans still cheat the fact that all Melbourne...AFL games are played on only two city stages, and that all suburban places were placed next to each other. the days of a packed house in windy hill, with the red and black poor roaring as their team destroys the opposition are no longer. they can still see the floor many interstate fans still see a kick from windy hill.
We had lunch today at the Windy Hill dining room. It is a comfortable set up and the staff are polite. The senior's meals are good value A two course meal, for $16.50 includes a drink beer, house wine or soft drink. I had bruschetta as a...starter, followed by lamb's fry and bacon a big serve, with lots of veggies. One of my dining partners had roast of the day, a large serve of roast beef, while another had grilled fish, with lots of chips, and salad.. The social club also has a popular gaming room and a PubTAB. Everyone is welcome, there's also a full service bar.
