Nami Of Morehead City

Only sushi in town I’ll eat!The hibachi isnt my favorite, but that’s not what I’m there for.

The food was inedible. The owner was just as bad. So disappointed, wanted it to be great. The owners reputation followers her, I didn’t know it until I saw the truth. It’s a shame to have something and someone so horrible in Morehead City.

Food was well worth the quick little lunch we wanted. Actually more than we wanted lol had to take leftovers home for later. All was good and well worth the time, money company we met.

The day we went it was very busy. There was a help wanted sign on the door, and it seemed like they may have been short-staffed, BUT every single person in there was helping out and was not sitting idly around which was refreshing to see. It's a small joint, but the food is good. A nice place to get sushi near the beach!

Three weeks ago my family and I tried to dined at Nami in Morehead City, NC.Unfortunately, the owner/chef seems to have no knowledge of food safety. She is rude and disrespectful. The owner and so called chef has no respect for her clientele. I ordered a vegetarian roll and it was placed on the same plate, side by side, touching a dragon roll. The dragon roll was ordered separately, by another family member. For reference a dragon roll has shrimp, eel and masago (fish roe). I sent the vegetarian roll back because smelling or eating strong, fishy food makes me physically ill. The chef refused to correct her mistake by remaking my vegetarian roll, and plating it separately on a clean plate. I ordered a beef sukiyaki soup in light broth for my main course. The soup arrived with an overpowering smell and taste of fish. There were fish cakes in my beef soup and a heavy fishy broth.The owners menu description never mentioned fish cakes or fish broth. What beef there was in the soup, was tough chewy. I immediately sent my order back and the owner/chef blamed our server, while berating same so everyone in the restaurant could hear her. Also the owner/chef refused to let me order anything else.The owner/chef of Nami could have killed me with what she choose to do to my food this evening.Sadly I was looking forward to eating at Nami. Especially the vegetarian roll.
