Very good and fresh food, recommended for lunch if you want to eat something different then the sandwich. Portions are small but given the type of food appropriate, salad with the fish, 25 Chf for a menu lunch. Environment is very friendly and lot of light

We had a quick and delicious sashimi lunch. You pick a fish dish, and for CHF 20-25 you also get a helping from the salad bar or rice, as well as a home made roll and self-serve water carafes. All is served on clean cardboard dishes, you sit on high but comfortable bar stools (so better not with small kids) with lots of mirrors around. A refreshing change from the oh-so-cute Ticinese style. Still, they are friendly and cordial. If you are up to it, you can buy some fish for dinner on the way out.

A cool minimalist NY type fish bar and restaurant, not often found in a place like Lugano. High quality fresh fish, seafood, sushi, grilled skewers, salads, etc. Not too expensive (relatively, in Switzerland). Reminded me of FishWorks in London, fresh fish to take away. Excellent business lunch, very good service. Place doesn't smell excessively of fish, which is nice. Highly recommended.

Simple. Fresh and Good.. And for Lugano standards almost cheap :)Held and cured by Authentic Sards, who proudly defend their islands culinary tradition ! Good and complete simple menus with good wines! I'd say forget all the other fish restaurants in town... For fish that is the place... I just love it!

I was so delighted to have eaten really really fresh fish here, which is not easy to find. I live in San Francisco, where there is abundant choices of seafood, so I know when I'm eating quality seafood. The moment I entered ICHTHYS, I could tell fish was their specialty. On the right, there's whole fish on ice on display, where people can buy fish and bring it home. Also you can watch them clean, cut, and slice fresh slivers of different fishes, making different plate selections. Mmmm... my mouth was already watering. On the right there is the refrigerated counter where you can see all your options, and if you eat with your eyes, you'd want to try all. The quality of the fish was so fresh, they only needed to drizzle a little of their sauce. WOW! It melted in my mouth like butter. Also, they have fresh salads, bread, desserts, beverages, wine, etc. Even though the concept is simple, the service is beyond simple. Everyone is friendly and professional. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. Here, you can eat quality fish for a good price, with wine, with good service, without the pretentious atmosphere and dress code.
