Bidra med feedbackCame here whilst in town for a birthday. The coffees themselves were good, and the barista (Matthew? making them was really nice. But the person who served us taking our order (James I believe was really rude and completely put us off having a nice day out. Not impressed.
I did wonder why the cafe was so empty during a busy Christmas shopping day and quickly forums out why. The two young people serving were very pleasant and professional, but the other woman was so rude! I accidentally returned the paper towels when I handed back my tray, and I had to go ask for more. She FLUNG them at me without looking at me! Geezo maybe I made her mad by asking her to do some customer service or something : Our toasties were undercooked with the bread on one side raw. We still ate them because we were starving! But…the whole cafe had a feel of going through the motions like a 1970’s cheap canteen style place. Wish I’d gone to Starbucks because at least you know you’re going to get good service.
The guy that was making the drinks was quite rude with us after he realised that he made a mistake by putting the drinks in a take away cup when we paid for staying in.He replied "Seriously? "when I asked him to put them in proper cups .Seeing the place quite empty on a Saturday morning now I understand why.The feeling of a busy coffee place and a loved place is missing.I used to work on a different chain in Bath but this is not the right way of serving a customer for sure.Change your job or improve.
Centrally located Cafe on Elgin High Street with outdoor seating as well. All the usual snacks, cakes and hot drinks. Service was reasonably quick and friendly
The coffee is always great and the staff are always very polite, I have been here a couple of times.
