Moorland Cottage

I only discovered this charming little restaurant thanks to a friend who knew the area and suggested it. I was not disappointed. The scones were delightful, and I particularly enjoyed the 'Mia special' pie. The service was friendly, and the dining room had a cozy country charm. One of my favorite aspects was seeing the friendly chickens roaming around.

I saw the sign, best scones ever! I had to pull over and they didn’t lead me stray! I highly recommend!

I had a wonderful and tasty experience at this restaurant! Sitting by a cozy fire, I enjoyed perfect coffee and the best scones I have ever had. The portions of jam and cream were generous. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were friendly and attentive. This restaurant is a must-visit if you are traveling up the coast. Thank you, Christina! We will definitely be returning.

The Moorland Cottage is a charming little restaurant in a small town, offering decent pies but exceptional desserts. The staff were all friendly and attentive, despite being very busy. The restaurant was bustling during the middle of the week. The views from the restaurant were stunning, with adorable chickens running around in the background. The chili pie was not very spicy, but the other pies were satisfactory. The desserts were delicious and some of the best we have ever had, and the milkshake was also tasty.

Just gorgeous. Staff are friendly and polite and go out of there way to make sure we had anything we needed. They let some little kids feed their chickens, and supervised them so their parents could enjoy the coffee. And the food was yummy. Definitely be back. Worthy of a stop. Prices were decent.
