Bidra med feedbackWow, where do I start... tried to book for 8, had to ring and email 3 times before they even answered.This would have been my warning, but the menu looked good online..next we arrive and the menu is something special with very limited choices... but restaurant... is packed so that we stay....
The vegetarian penne and garlic prawns were not good. It seems like the cook's favorite ingredient is salt. The waitress was pleasant and the beer was cold, but the bad food overshadowed everything.
The restaurant was accommodating with seating options, offering both indoor and outdoor tables. Despite initially requesting outdoor seating, we opted to move inside due to the chilly weather. The overall quality of the food was good, with the exception of the schnitzel and cutlets, which appeared dry and lacked a flavorful gravy. I enjoyed a delicious off-menu tomato soup, despite receiving slightly burnt toast. The chicken skewers, while not served on skewers as expected, were surprisingly tasty with a side of tomato and lettuce. Our group also ordered various pasta dishes, all of which were enjoyed, particularly the vegetarian option with sundried tomatoes. It was a pleasant evening at a quiet and peaceful restaurant.
It was a football night at Moore Park and so we decided to eat in the entertainment quarter. Our first mistake was not making a booking at any of the restaurants! We choose this restaurant as it had the shortest wait time (we were told...15 minutes) so we decided to eat there, this was our biggest mistake! We were asked to sit anywhere outside on the deck. It was mid winter on a Friday night in Sydney and while there were heaters on the deck, none of them were lit. When we asked several times for the heater next to our table to be lit, we were ignored or they would look at us as if we were speaking another language. Eventually, one of the wait staff had had enough of us asking so she told us they were waiting on a gas delivery to arrive. Well that never happened! The wait staff were rude and some could barely understand English, let alone speak it. Once they took our order, it took over 40 minutes for the first meal to arrive. Meals were served randomly, so by the time the last meal was served, nearly every one else had finished their meals. Three out of the four meals were wrong. One had to be sent back, while the others should have been pasta and were served as risotto instead, which we were charged for at a higher rate. We did not have the opportunity to complain about risotto as the wait staff literally dropped the meals on the table and left. Utensils were not provided until the meals were served. We started with garlic bread, which was served on one plate but we had no individual plates or even napkins that we could put our bread on. The food was over priced and, in general tasteless, servings were small. When our drink order arrived which they brought one at a time, they could not tell us which red wine it was, the beer was served in a bottle and when we asked for a glass, they gave us a water tumbler.The scotch was watered down. When we went to pay the bill, we told them that we got risotto and not pasta, we were told Yeah, we 're busy! No apology and we were still charged at the higher rate. The service was appalling, the food was dreadful and it was freezing! My recommendation is DON 'T EAT HERE!!!!!
The service at this restaurant was very poor despite it not being busy. The menu was altered for the day and the prices were higher than advertised online. The food quality was below average. The manager apologized and offered a complimentary coffee to our party of 11 people, as well as a 10% discount on the bill. However, we still had to wait 30 minutes just to get a glass of water. Overall, we were disappointed and do not plan on returning.
