Bidra med feedbackTonight for Valentine's Day with a reservation at 21:00. when we arrived shortly before 21:00 clock, 3 more couples waited for placement. no employee welcomed us and no one was informed about the waiting period. both server looked at the awakening guests and rolled their eyes and went away, even laughing. I cannot comment on eating as we wait after 25 minutes, without as much as a gruß. terrible plans on the side of an overwhelming and seemingly intact staff.
We were 3 and everything we ordered was just as it should be .. with a little more scrupulous. yes, it was a special event (65,.) so the payment was a bit more than usual it was worth well.
Went here with a large party for a business dinner. The food was pleasant enough, with some better items (a very good salmon tartare starter) and some less impressive ones (a salmon main which was quite unctuous and heavy handed, a creme brûlée that was...too set). Maybe they perform better for non-group tables, but I must say that while I ate OK and while I can see the potential, I've had better meals in this city. Service was extremely slow. Can't comment on the prices.
We dined here on New Year’s Eve. They offered an excellent fixed price menu for a reasonable price. It’s BYOB which is good as well. Service and food were both great.
We went to Montreal over Christmas weekend in search of good French food. Carte Blanche is perhaps our best discovery. It offers a good balance of classic French fare as well as creative inventions. My husband finally found the best French Onion Soup here after...disappointing ones in Quebec City and Boston. I had the creme brûlée foie gras, with the taste of foie gras but texture of creme brûlée, and the toast with the sweetness of cranberries was just perfect to complement to the foie gras. For my main course I had wild boar stew with tagliatelle. It was a very generous portion and very tasty. I had enough leftover for lunch, and The chef was so nice to add more meat to my doggie bag. My husband had duck confit with wild mushrooms, equally delicious. The service was also very good. Since it is a bring your own wine restaurant, and they do not charge corking fee, the bill seems very reasonable. We really love this place.
