Bidra med feedbackANDY MF'N ACES MAN! What an amazingly unexpected awesome night. Andy is fantastic and a great host. Some really cool historical pictures in the place too.We were so busy chatting I forgot to take many pictures of the food but everything was delicious. I had the paella, my wife had the whole fish. We also got the special croquettes. Loved them all.The food is great, but the place is just a whole vibe. If you drink with Andy he'll show you magic tricks even if you don't drink with him he'll talk your ear off about the Eagles. FLY EAGLES FLY!
Don't let the outdated reviews affect your decision. I can say that Boca Iberica has not declined in any way whatsoever since the earliest review this page has. While there isn't much online presence, the restaurant is absolutely amazing from service to food to ambiance. We came in Tuesday for lunch. For lunch, the menu is on the blackboard. You choose which protein you'd like and they give it as a combo with soup or salad and coffee. Love this since it's such a simple approach (feels like a hole in the wall cafe) but still provides enough options to choose from. For dinner, they provide a standard menu. Everything is fresh so they customize certain dishes based off what they had delivered day of.Service is 10/10. The owner himself served us and constantly kept us engaged and answered all our questions. The lunch was so much more enjoyable with his service. He told us about his family history and the restaurants history as well as gave recommendations for Portuguese restaurants in the US. Food 9/10: every dish impressed. I only give a 9 because the arctic char was not deboned and the clams in white wine sauce was a bit salty. All the food tasted amazing though. My favorite was the Seafood Rice. This is an absolute must try if you stop by. The rice was aromatic and really soaked in all the flavors of the seafood. It was wonderfully but not overly seasoned. I would come back just to eat this again. The lamb shank was also notably good! Fell right off the bone. All the other dishes were great as well.Ambiance (10/10) very clean and honestly surprisingly upscale! I figured it would be more authentic and down to earth but the restaurant actually gives modern chic. This place would be perfect for a date night.
If you're not interested in crowded places and long lines at restaurants on St. Laurent, consider walking 20 meters down Rue Rachel for a more quiet, relaxed meal (and also delicious) at Boca Iberica. Your menu is on blackboards. Lunch includes either soup or salad and coffee. everyone at my table got the grilled pork medallions, which were really flavorful. These were accompanied by seasoned fries which were obviously hand-cut. There's a great ambiance here, and your servers are the owners, very enjoyable people with whom to converse. Dining here was an enjoyable experience.
Its a happy place, no matter what language you speak. Wednesday night 1st time, not too busy, was told they serve only small plates Tuesday and Wednesday. Not expecting that but went for it. A single sided letter size French language menu with about 20 choices, you have to discover yourself. After 2 smooth Portuguese house whites and reds, with a satisfying mouth and stomach, I'd say, mission accomplished!
Thank you so much for the way that I was received tonight at 17h20 at your restaurant. The food was so good and the service was just perfect!I'm going back for my Açorda de Marisco for sure ! I can't wait.
