MR Azteca - Montréal

Hit the trifecta of good service, great tasting and authentic food and dirt cheap prices makes Mr Azteca a serious contender for best taco place in Montreal. The soup in pictures is a tortilla soup and was also delicious. Cheaper than that? Go on Tuesdays...and/or Wednesdays, it's taco time and it's cheaper, can you believe this incredible place? Highly recommended !

We wanted to try this restaurant after reading some of the good comments. Well, we were very disappointed and cannot understand how this restaurant can have positive reviews. The service was rushed, the food was terrible, without taste, and the prices were quite high for... such garbage food. They even accused us of some extras that we were not aware of, as they asked us if we wanted some cheese, but without telling us that it is calculated extra. We will never return if we want dirty food, instead we will go to McDonald, it will cost less.

Definitely one of the best Mexican authentic restaurants in Montreal! The Bistectacos are just delicious! We're going back almost weekly, as all their selection is too good. Small place that can pack too rush hours, so get early!

I wish I'd be closer than 40 minutes drive, or I'd be here at least once a week. Hailing from Texas, lived in California, and after spending some time in Mexico, I'm not an expert, but have a varied palate for Mexican food. This is totally authentic, and definitely not the Tex mex I grew up with, so if what you are looking for is full Mexican food... and it's incredible. The food is so good, we had Mr. Azteca the first birthday of our daughter. Salsa, especially red salsa, is delicious. Tacos are fantastic and my personal favorite is the Barbacoa. If you can get it on weekends, don't miss the fools. Finally, the owners, a man and woman team, are so incredibly nice and hospitable. If you're in Montreal and want authentic Mexican food, that's it.

The menu is not in English so the young lady who works there translated and helped us choose what to order. Ordnete chorizo taquitos, barbacoa taquitos and vegetarian fleets. Very recommended food and service was top notch!
