Bidra med feedbackThe list of crazy weeping. a terrible oyster. hot dog and lobster were a tasty bite. olivier, our bartender pulled everything together. a bright spot at the end of a long walk and worth everything.
We were a group of 10 people, with each of us disappointed in the attitude, service and quality of food. don't waste your time or here.
We were recommended Majestique by a bartender in the Vieux Port area, who was excited to hear we would be heading to the Plateau Mont-Royal area. It was Halloween night, and the staff was dressed up and having a lot of fun. We took two seats at the bar and were greeted promptly by friendly bartenders. They provided great wine recommendations and made us feel very welcome. Despite the lively atmosphere, we never felt rushed in this small but charming space. We enjoyed oysters and other seasonal dishes that were thoughtfully prepared and presented. The small touches of personality in the decor, such as sea-shell share plates, combined with the kind and fun service, made Majestique one of our favorite dining experiences in Montreal.
After being recommended by a friend from Montreal who now lives in Banff, we decided to give Majestic a try and we were definitely not disappointed. We arrived before the kitchen opened and enjoyed a beer in the outdoor seating area at the front of the restaurant, which was very pleasant. Once the kitchen opened, we ordered the Bourgot and a hotdog as we were not looking for a full meal. The Bourgot was absolutely amazing - fresh, flavorful, and a true treat for the taste buds. The 12-inch hotdog that followed was also delicious, and I'm glad we decided to share it between the two of us. It was easily the best hotdog I've had in a long time. If you don't mind getting a bit messy while eating, I highly recommend trying the hotdog. Overall, I have no hesitation in recommending Majestic for both their food and excellent staff service.
Service at this restaurant was deplorable. The waitress was rude, not welcoming, indifferent and moody. When we asked the bus boy for ketchup, he answered with attitude and then tossed the ketchup onto our table and walked away. Both much preferred to be having drinks...with their friends who were stationed at the bar. Would not recommend, nor will I be returning.
