Bidra med feedbackPleasantly surprised with this rotisserie restaurant! Don't let the weird sign fool you, the food served here is solid. This isn't the cheapest place to get chicken, but the portions here will leave you with tons of leftovers. A great place to check out if you happen to be in the east of Montreal!
Food was ok. I prefer the normal chicken. I find the deep fried one not that good for the price. Good quantities. I didn't like the poutine that much but was ok. Ribs is not the type that just falls off but fried with mustard sauce coating after. You probably don't want to go here if decor is a big thing for you as some parts are due for a renovation.
I tried their broasted chicken meal for two $50) and I can say that it was one of the best fried chicken I've had. The standout was the breast piece, which is often dried out if fried improperly; it was still juicy, as much as the thigh part. The meal came with caesar salad, coleslaw, poutine, piece of toast, gravy, mustard and a spicy sauce tastes much like buffalo sauce). They were all very good and had very little complaints on the taste. The only issue I had were the fries in the poutine were slightly undercooked it was slightly hard to the bite) and were not seasoned enough or at all), although the sauce and cheese curds were still quite delicious. However, that did not stop me from eating the meal in its entirety and hopefully it was just an exception with a bad batch of fries. I will be coming back again in the future!
I so wish I could say I love it as it's a noble concept and the East end is sorely lacking in vibrant businesses.I order the chicken breast and I find that with the chicken deep fried and French fries, it is extremely greasy. If the chicken had been made differently (like Portuguese chicken on charcoal or Indian chicken made in clay oven), I would have probably loved it. I feel sick in my every time and it's so unhealthy. Also, this time the gravy was watery and totally lacking flavor. However, I LOVE the coleslaw. That never goes wrong.Maybe keep the same concept but consider another way to prepare the chicken?
A bit of a trek, but the tandoori chicken was really good.
