Le Boucan - Masson - Montréal

The menu is quite small but if you enjoy smoky flavors, I highly recommend trying their pork ribs. The drinks and specialty cocktails are delicious as well.

I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday night with my family and kids. The food was good, the cocktail was decent, and the service was okay. It's a good spot if you're in the mood for some smokehouse fare and are in the neighborhood.

We decided to try out this restaurant as we were in search of good food without all the frills. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the three different meals we tried - all were excellent. The service was great and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Nice casual ambiance both inside and on the terrace. The food is very tasty with a smoky southern flavor. On my second visit I had the chicken and ribs combo and the amazing cheesy corn with barbecue flavor fries and coleslaw. Desert was bacon flavored pecan pie with ice cream. A hearty meal accompanied by friendly service in a laid back atmosphere. Very positive experience. Reservations are strongly recommended since this seems to be a very popular place in the east end of Montreal.

Well I am a Burger fan, so I just walk to Rue Masson to find a good burger and I find Le Boucan. This place is American style food with very specialized menu, chicken wings (with several sauces), pork ribs, bbq chicken, bbq salmon, Alabama style chicken. As you see is a southern style BBQ (smoked) food. Well I ordered the 5 napkins burger, with green salad. Let me be more honest, I'm not a big fan of BBQ sauce, only like with the ribs, but this burger was excellent, double patties, fried onion, excellent bacon, and the bbq. And the have Macallan scotch, also good variety beers and cocktails. Bathroom ok, music normal nothing spectacular, but is a cozy place. The service is very good. Note: This food take a little time to prepare so don't push. If you are lover or BBQ and southern food, you must stop at this place. I will return to try a mix between the wings and the ribs!
