Bidra med feedbackI went to Black Magic Court for lunch with a coworker and decided to try it based on its popularity on Yelp. The service at the counter was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. The bowls were easy to carry and recyclable, and there was plenty of space to wait for your order. The service was extremely fast. However, the menu was a bit confusing and you had to get your own soft drink. There didn't seem to be much seating available. The restaurant's name didn't match the name on the review, and the prices were higher than expected. Overall, it was a great option for a quick lunch for a busy worker, but be prepared for the higher prices.
I enjoy getting a poke bowl for lunch occasionally. Hydrocarbons Lua offers a wide variety of poke bowls, all of which I have found to be fresh and delicious. The decor of the restaurant is lovely. My favorite is the Tonga Tonga bowl, but I wish the portion sizes were slightly larger for the price.
The restaurant has a lovely design, but the poke bowl was very disappointing. I ordered the Papa California and it had no flavor at all. It lacked sweetness, even though it was supposed to have jalapeños. They had run out of avocado, so they substituted quinoa instead. I would not recommend this dish.
Today for lunch and omg has ever met. I fell in love with poke dishes in hawaii and can tell them that this is just as authentic.
The restaurant is really cute, the decor is so nice. The only problem is they make the options sound super good on the menu, but in reality you're literally getting VERY few pieces of fish and other things. The poke bowl is rice, which...was very disappointing. There are much better poke places in Montreal.
