El Tropical - Montréal

This place seems to be run by a Spanish couple who were very accommodating and kind. We tried the ceviche, pupupsas, and mango shake. For a ceviche made in Canada in the dead of winter it was very good. The mango shake and pupusa were what I would return for time and time again!

We go to El Tropical from time to time, we like the food, the service and for me the best is the fact that the bathroom is clean, not like other places that we go and they have a dirty bathroom, for me if the bathroom is clean more chances that the kitchen will be clean too.The service is great they are very friendly and if you really want to try Latin food this is the place to go, food with great flavor and prepare fresh even when the look might not be appealing to everybody I think the food is good

Food is good, but the restaurant lacks cleanliness. we go there from time to time, but we would go even more often if it would not be of this unpleasant point. Now, as mentioned, food is very good, so try it! ;)

Despite being in Canada in the middle of winter, the ceviche was surprisingly good. The mango shake and pupusas were also delicious. I would definitely return to this place!

We occasionally visit El Tropical and really enjoy the food and service. What stands out the most to me is that the bathroom is always clean, unlike some other places we've been to. I believe that a clean bathroom reflects the cleanliness of the kitchen. The service is fantastic - the staff is friendly and welcoming. If you're looking to try Latin food, this is the place to go. The food is delicious and freshly prepared. While the appearance may not appeal to everyone, I think the food speaks for itself.
