Recommended by our great bed and breakfast Chez Helen ( see separate review ) this was the perfect choice for an inexpensive casual meal with a great atmosphere. Hearty local dishes ( try the truffade or galettes! ) all served in a lovely setting in this beautiful historic hilltop village. This is not sophisticated dining but the real France. We loved it!

Delicious meal at this simple good value eatery in the beautiful hilltop village of Montpeyroux. The Chef Bruno makes the most delicious galettes ... A savory crepe stuffed to bursting with all manner of fillings. I had the one with a filling of salmon and prawns in a cream sauce and my husband the Arkose filled with a delicious garlicky, cheese and potato with bacon lardons. The galettes are served with a generous salad. Also on the menu steak and chips, pizzas and the Truffade a copious regional dish of cheese and potato served with local dried ham. To follow a selection of sweet crepes and ice creams. Sat out on the terrace for our apero but still a bit chilly for eating outside! Must come back when it's warmer!

If you don't want gourmet food but a good value well presented, tasty meal in a beautiful mediaeval village, would highly recommend this creperie. Pleasant and efficient service.
