Comptoir Saint Paul - Montpellier

The setting is very pleasant, small place in the spring sun in a pedestrian area. The reception is normal, the service is correct and fast enough. I took the carrot tartre (carrot mix and beet). Then the vegetal croziflette, which was good but a little succinct: the slices of cheese were very fine, and the size of the ration a little limited. On the other hand, the truffle perfume was a pleasure, not too insistent, just well dosed and married very well with the crozets. So it's a good place to spend a good time, with maybe a little effort to make on the size of the rations.

Excellent address and great discovery. A perfect welcome, and a very friendly culinary experience from the entrance to dessert. We feel that this restaurant is held by passionate and generous people who want to share. We only want to come back! I recommend without moderation!

We had fun! It was tasty, with a beautiful setting! For a romantic meal, I do not regret our choice. It was a shame that the waitress was alone. It took a good hour to get rid of our blankets. We no longer wanted dessert because we were dying throughout the waiting hour. Good courage for the lack of service, our meal was really good, so I don't hold it in our note.

We were attracted to this restaurant by the fairly modern dishes. It is only impossible to reach them on the phone to book on the site that we discovered that they were open and that there was almost nobody there so it was rather surprising. Employees are very pleasant, however, the sound volume is a bit loud, which can be disturbing... The egg inlet with the weeping foam was very good but it lacked seasoning. For the dish, a burger, the steak wasn't really controlled. The most surprising was dessert, a crumble of red fruit whose crumble was not at all crispy but rather a soft paste not cooked at all... a little disappointing even if the taste was there. We were able to understand that it was the apprentice who had for the first time been charged with sending all the dishes that can explain imperfections but should have been monitored. In short a few imperfections but a restaurant that has potential!

A short walk on Montpellier following the reopening of restaurants, we find two places in (sale) terrace. Little disappointment, we want to share tapas, they're only available in the evening, no matter how serious it is. So we each took a salad. It's pretty classic, but stay pretty good. I think there are even better dishes to enjoy at home. The service was pretty fast, and the little student who served us was very nice. Conclusion, small classic restaurant with no cracks. They do not take a rdv so it offers a chance to find a place during your walk or holiday on Montpellier.
