Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is located in Montijo, a small somewhat rundown town, once an active fisherman’s village, facing Lisbon (across the Tagus river . It’s been there for ever and a day, the waiters are really, really friendly and will get out of their way to please you. The decoration is simple and dated (it could be out of a Woody Allen’s film set but the waiters enthusiasm and good humour and the quality (and quantity !!! of the food really makes up for the lack of modernity and comfort. They serve portions and half portions and believe me half a portion was more than enough for me! All food is fresh and honest (real french fries, not frozen! and desserts are totally yummy, we even took a couple of slices of their “bolo de bolacha” home with us! The price? Amazingly cheap! Absolutely recommend to others.
Stopped here for their €11 3 course menu after a morning at the beach.Starters soup or garlic bread. We all had the fish and chips...5 bits of gorgeous fish and chips each with a salad to die for(other mains available). We then enjoyed a large slice of strawberry cheesecake with cream( again they had a selection of choice). The meal also came with wine beer or soft drinks.I ended up with a 1/4 caraffe. In a lovely wee cobbled street.Defo worth it.
Very nice restaurant situated beside main city council building .Extensive menu and wine list with many traditional recipes .Attentive service.Used by business and professional at lunchtime but have found it less busy in evenings.Good value for the quality of food
We thoroughly enjoyed our very traditional food. The service couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.
