Monarch Brewing Co - Monticello

I had the Cuban sandwich and it was very delicious. The live music was enjoyable but did not overpower the conversation. The coffee was perfect!

This restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and I even had the chance to chat with the brew master. The food was delicious and the beer was exceptional. My only suggestion would be to include more IPAs in the selection and add some meads to round out the beer options. They had a great variety of stouts, which I thoroughly enjoyed trying, except for the Spice Rack. The band Moondogs provided great entertainment without being too loud, even though we were seated right by the stage.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic! I ordered the pretzel baked cod and my friend had the hopped up pork chops, both of which were excellent. The cinnamon banana bread pudding was also delicious. They have a great beer selection and I liked that you can order flights to sample different beers. The atmosphere was amazing with live music, but the service was a bit slow, although the staff was very friendly.

I had the valentines day special which included bacon wrapped dates appetizer, a salad, a new york strip steak, scallops, a baked potato, cheesecake, ice cream, and a chocolate chunk of sorts. Everything was top tier. The cheesecake wasnt in house madebut it was still decent.

Service was a bit slow. We really enjoyed the music (Jan. 11), but it was a bit loud when trying to still have dinner conversation. The beers and food were great and the servers were super nice. We will definitely return.
