In the past, I loved my visits to McAllisters in Montgomery, IL. But the last three not so much. Every order was wrong. Not small issues either. Ham and cheese missing from a club sandwich. Cheese and onions missing that I ordered to my chili. Constantly missing pickles when requested. Sandwiches not cut in half when asked. When you bring these to a work site it’s a big deal. Yesterday, my order was wrong again. I called them in Montgomery and was told the manager would speak to me. I was requesting a credit on my chili that was missing onions and cheese. I was put on hold. A female employee then got on the phone and told me no manager was in and someone would return my call today. I had to call back today around 3:50pm after not hearing from any manager. I was told by another female employee that their manager was busy and in a meeting and she’d call me back. I will let you know if that happens. So disheartened as the food is very good when correct but the managers need to be more responsible for the employees they hire. Management needs to teach their employees customer service. Wife and I saw drivethru was closed and proceeded to pull up to the window and was greeted by a man who told us we needed to order through the app or come inside. I’ve managed quite a few restaurants and would never refuse service even if my drive thru was closed. Considering there’s no sign stating they will refuse orders through window and prompting customers to step inside. If someone knows what they want they should be able to order through the window.
