Cocolores - Montezuma

Gorgeous little spot in amongst the palm trees right on the beach. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The carafe of chilled white wine was delicious. We had mahi mahi grilled with garlic and it was the best fish we have had here, perfectly cooked and juicy. Even my husband enjoyed it and he wouldn’t usually choose fish! The house salad had a great dressing. Overall the perfect spot for a perfect dinner.

Nice Oceanside restaurant. Best for appetizers. Cervevas was not like a relish but round slices of fish, different but not what expected

Service was mixed. One waiter was really friendly, one was quite moody. Food was ok. I wouldn’t order the coconut curry again. It was very bland. The seafood cazuela was ok with the wine sauce. Some of the seafood was a little hard. The side dishes are mashed potato or rice. I wouldn’t chose to repeat either dish again if I’m honest. It was also pretty expensive for the meal. Think the other sodas around give food that’s much better value for money.

I dine here every time I am in Montezuma. Beach front dining at its finest. Italian dishes and seafood are outstanding. Authentic Italian dishes. Maxey has been in the business for 27 years. Best Pasta dishes in Costa Rica.

We had a lovely romantic dinner here. It fills up fast and there is good reason for that. They have a creative menu as well as the standard seafood you typically expect in Montezuma. The fresh mahi mahi with curry and bananas was delicious. Wine offering is limited but still good. Raises you are on the beach! Enjoy the amazing sounds and views nestled in the palm trees.
