We visited this restaurant for the first time today and the food was fantastic! I tried the newly added grilled salmon dish, which was perfectly cooked with a delicious charred exterior. The Ponzu sauce complemented the dish perfectly, adding a savory and slightly sweet flavor. We opted for green beans instead of a side salad and roasted garlic potatoes instead of rice, both of which were delicious. The potatoes stood out with their perfectly roasted texture and buttery Parmesan sauce. My wife enjoyed the grilled shrimp and avocado salad, which was also very tasty with hot grilled shrimp, fresh avocado slices, pico de gallo, and crushed mozzarella on a bed of mixed greens. The dining room and bar had a casual yet attractive atmosphere with exposed brick walls, although it was a bit loud due to the hard surfaces. The service was top-notch, with attentive but unobtrusive staff overseen by owner Jeff Webster. The prices were reasonable and we found the overall experience worth the trip to Montevallo Main Street Tavern. We will definitely be returning!

We recently heard about this restaurant from friends who had dined at this cozy bistro located in a converted old bus terminal. My husband and I decided to give it a try today and we were blown away by the amazing meal we had. The food is all homemade and tastes delicious! We both ordered the Smothered Chicken, which was a grilled chicken breast topped with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheddar cheese, and diced tomatoes. I paired mine with Mac n cheese and a salad with tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers, while my husband had the fried green tomatoes with a salsa ranch dressing and parmesan potatoes. Everything was absolutely fantastic, no exaggeration! Our server, Kristina, was lovely and even recommended we try the desserts. I had the pecan cobbler (similar to a pecan pie in a bowl with fresh whipped cream) and it was love at first bite. My husband ordered the bread pudding with a cinnamon sauce that left us speechless. Kristina even packed up our teas without us having to ask, such thoughtful service with a smile! The food here is truly outstanding, worth the visit. We had the chance to speak to one of the owners, who was charming and delighted to hear how much we enjoyed our meal. This place is a hidden gem and we plan to return on Tuesday to try the meatloaf that sells out quickly. We will definitely be back with more friends to try more of their delicious offerings. Overall, a casual and delightful dining experience.

A real gem! This is the place we always take out of the city visitors. Owner Jeff and the entire staff treat every customer as a family. All we've tried, which includes most menus, was great! I love the Hamburg steak (boiled as ordered) with spectacular potatoes with onion engraving! A huge meal. BTW our guests often buy a T-shirt home! Just the best food and service in Montevallo!

Fantastic!. Love this place, just one of my favorite places. The frits are amazing, so is the bbq cheddar burger. I have the fried green tomato leaf, the best sandwich I've ever had.
