Bidra med feedbackWas brought here by an Italian friend. Great outdoor space with kids running around. Looked like someone was having a wedding shower there. Good food.
I've been there on a couple of occasions but would highly recommend it for those who are looking for that typical Italian Tuscan restaurant. The area is beautiful and ideal for countryside walks to burn off the calories.
If you are visiting Tuscany at any time except winter you can do no better than driving or hiring a taxi to take you to Pulcianese at the weekend. This wonderful restaurant is set in the exquisite Creta landscape south of siena: undulating, slightly mysterious, exactly the backdrop of many Renaissance paintings. There is no written menu although you are offered some choices of pasta and meats. The meal is traditionally structured and arrives one delicious course after another: five or six crostini, yummy pastas, roasts including game, salad and amazing chips, then pudding, cake or fruit. All served with bottles of red and white wine, water, or choices of soft drinks. Then there is the grappa: extraordinary! We have been visiting for a quarter of a century and our visits have never failed to be one of the most memorable events of our family life! There is a huge out doors garden where even the most hyperactive children can run around, play safely and make as much noise as they need all under the watchful eyes of parents lolling replete and totally contented at their tables under an awning providing shade. If you are there without children don't fret: the place is large enough to give privacy and peace for a more intimate experience. This is a family run establishment and virtually all the produce used is locally grown and farmed: just wonderful! Finally the price. Well this seems to vary a little. When we were there last week we paid 50Euro for 2 and in the past when our children were small at times there seemed very little charge for them at all. When you go it may be more expensive but certainly no where near costly. I do hope you go and see what we mean. It is a love affair!
Grande e abbondante, posto magnifico soprattutto nella bella stagione.
Ottimo come servizio, ancora più piatti.
