Northwood - MONTE RIO

We had a great dinner at Northwood. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was friendly and festive. The prime rib was perfectly served, and the shrimp scampi was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Forgot to write this review but it was so vivid that I can remember it like it was yesterday. On Father’s Day last year a man and his son was at the bar and he was drunk AF. He walked over to my table with my dad and my grandfather and sister and pulled his pants down briefly IN FRONT OF A CHILD and put his arm around my dad’s shoulder. There was a little girl on the other side of the room and she was staring at him. The waitress had a lot on her plate and saw the man and shook her head but she could not do anything at the moment. I approached the manager telling him that this man was causing a commotion at our table and NOTHING was done. It was so busy during Father’s Day that I feel like we were ignored. I am born and raised in Monte Rio and we have been coming here our entire life and never have I ever experienced something like that. P.s., the man only left our table after my grandfather yelled at him saying “Get the hell out of here.” I’m just surprised that the manager did nothing during this time and I hope nothing like this ever happens again we still go here but that one experience has stayed with us. Couldn't actually get my food for my parents who were working. Called and they put me on hold. They proceeded to put me on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up on me with no reason. I called again and they put in me in another hold and by the time they actually took my order I had to cancel because it was too late.

The atmosphere and surroundings are gorgeous. The La-Z Boy chairs at the bar (instead of barstools) is charming. The outside seating area is small but pleasant. Service was slow but overall decent. The prime rib sandwich was disgustingly greasy. It was dripping fat and left my fingers covered in slime. The fries were good and the Philly cheesesteak was fine.
