We stayed for two days and enjoyed the pool, great meals and a comfortable (air conditioned! Cabana. The restaurant is very good, although it helps to know a little Spanish for clarity in order. Even if you don't stay here, I'd say it's worth among the best restaurants in Montecristi and a lunch or dinner! We used it as a starting pad to see the local beaches, make some hikes and explorations The goats were enchanting, and there is a beach on foot, as well as three or four more within a simple ride. You can rent a boat trip through the mangroves or on the island off the coast, hiking is nearby, and you can rent electric scooters, kayaks and other fun vehicles on the main strip of Montecristi, and

Bring water. They have small bottles of water but it's not freely available and there are no refill stations. They'll also help organize excursions around the area. Unfortunately my wife and I are not good spanish speakers and so communicative was tricky, but I can really fault them for that. Overall, it's a quaint little place that's very beautiful. Probably give it 3.5 stars if that was an option.

Beautiful setting, with a clean basic room. For $100 USD per night with breakfast included it is a fair rate. The wait staff is friendly but they need training. Service was sporadic, but the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Best Pina Coladas I've ever had. The shower had minimal pressure but good hot water. The room was cleaned daily and thoroughly. The beds could use new mattresses. I woke up with an aching back daily. There was no lock box in the room. The area was very safe and I would have liked a box, but was not overly concerned. The pool was cloudy but was cleaned daily and seemed to be well chlorinated. The surrounding area is very scenic. A great place to relax. Wild goats were everywhere!

The surroundings of the hotel are outstandingly beautiful. Unfortunately the hotel itself has seen better times. The place would be really cute but the management is bad. The pool was green, the WIFI not working, the A/C made a terrible noise the first night. We did not have hot water neither pressure. All over the place you find broken furniture, abandoned buildings, messy corners. The room is OK but everything looks kind of outworn and not well maintained (white paint marks all over . The restaurant area was left alone the tables were not set, not a single item of decoration not inviting at all. The service was not great neither. Even though we were the only guests staying it was difficult to receive 1 more hour for the check out (we were having lunch at their restaurant and didn't want to have to leave our room while eating ... . The breakfast, food and drinks were really good though and prices are reasonable. The price per night of more than 100 USD for the accommodation is not justified though.
