Backyard - MONTAUK

Went to this lovely spot for a quick glass of white wine and an appetizer before heading out to dinner. There’s indoor and outdoor seating available and there’s even an outdoor pool to swim in during the day. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and drinks. We came in on a Wednesday night and it was not crowded at all, I would expect that it is much busier on Fridays and weekends. The service was great as well.

Great dinner at Backyard. Atmosphere was a lively summer vibe. BAnd playing, good food and drinks made for another great night at this Montauk favorite of ours. Gazpacho soup, fluke crudo and Tuna Tartare were really good. Lump crabmeat pasta, chicken and swordfish entrees did not disappoint. Service was attentive and just the right number of check-ins. Expensive but that's to be expected in Montauk now. Great place

Food was excellent and service was best I've had anywhere in a long time. Definitely recommend the fluke appetizer, crabmeat and pasta entree, polenta side, and espresso creme bruele dessert. Colin was our server and he was excellent!!!

The $52 steak was small and tough. Even using the steak knife was difficult to cut through the gristle. We mentioned it to the waiter and another gentleman who was working there but they did nothing about it. I will not be back and would not recommend Sole East .
