Auberge des Mancelles - Mont-Dore

We stayed at Auberge mancelles again for the weekend. Annabelle and Julien were the perfect hosts. We stayed in the large top room which is simply gorgeous with great Mountain View’s and a super shower. Food was excellent and it is the perfect location for walking in the mountains.

We loved this restaurant just out of Mont Dore with great views and a beautiful setting. Family friendly and great service. Would definitely return.

This is somehow what France has been loosing those last generations : quality simple food, in a simple but nice environment, with service and plenty of smiles. Oh yes: and for a very low price. I didn't try the lodging amenities but the prices are apparently quite low. Last thing : don't hesitate to ask for that gentiane root alcool the owner is hiding ;

Nice setting for this small sancy hostel. very friendly welcome. several menus: 12, 16 or 21 € as well as the map. Very good omelette. only disappointment the truffade, a copious but really not terrible. It's a shame for the region's emblematic dish.
