This guy is a maestro. Some old dogs don't deserve their stars but this is sublime. Seems like a two star and not a one. Killer meal. My son freaked on the crab dish with quinoa. This is totally worth a trip.

We had very high expectations of this restaurant when we decided to enjoy lunch over there. The setting is tasteful with a great view. The three course lunch menu is very nicely priced at 25 euros. The value, however, was below expectations, especially compared to other Michelin starred restaurants in the Alsace. The balance of the starter was out of sync. Way too salt, and too little of the fresh sour citric taste. I really admire simplicity in dishes, but this dish (and also the main course) showed too little complexity and dynamics. The main course was well prepared. That's probably all there is to say. Very simple, nothing special. The strawberry dessert did not honor the fresh strawberries, too little fruit. I am not sure if the quality of the dishes was adapted to the friendly price of the lunch menu, but either way I would have expected more. Very limited explanations of the dishes was also a point which we found disturbing. During our trip in the Alsace we encountered many restaurants which I would recommend over Kasbür.
