Bidra med feedbackA few years ago we were not calmly satisfied with this restaurant, but this time things were better. Good service, though a misunderstanding when I went to the counter to pay the bill, good coffee and delicious cakes. However, this restaurant remains a bit hit or miss, because the next day we looked for coffee and cake again The restaurant was not open yet, no hours displayed at the door, and the person we did inward for information about the opening time did not give any information. So we went to the competitor for coffee and cake. But I only write this as an illustration of the volatility of the customer service there. Visiting this review is about points a four point rating, but on a bad day it might have been a point rating.
After coming to TripAdvisor, I'm sorry I didn't read the reviews before. I have never experienced so incredibly rude service in all my life. I and 3 friends visited earlier this week. We sat at an open table and the café was less than full – so there was no reason for the treatment we received. We looked at the menu and made our decisions. I ordered German and the waitress said she didn't understand me. I know that what I asked was correct, but then led to show on the menu. The waitress had the most terrible attitude. She looked like she wanted to explode! I'm not sure if the problem was that we were English, or just that we asked for service! My friend wanted a cake, so in abrupt English she was told to go to the counter and order it there. She went down and chose her pastries. She tried to order at the counter, how reliant and was shouted that she had to order at the table and was actually thrown back on the table! It was the most incredible action. It was very aggressive and so rude. My friend was destroyed. We decided that it was time to go. We put our coats back and told the waitress to cancel our order. We're gone! I can't remember a time when I had such an abyss service that I went out before my food and drink. This is a place to avoid! We drove up the street to Huftgold again and had a great service and the most delicious local food.
Back to a good basic selection of German food. The staff are friendly and service is quick. We've had a simple lunch that could be described as typical German, sausage with potato salad and of course with local mustard on the side. They serve local beer which was very nice.
We visited here for hot chocolate and cake and unfortunately arrived in the middle of a coach trip visit which meant the waitresses were looking very stressed and maybe not as friendly as they could have been. The cake and drinks were delicious and the cafe clean and inviting.
