When the cold weather starts, you can enjoy the famous irises and cartocci, also buccellati. When I was little I ate with pleasure and nothing has changed: not too sugary and then the fried food is fried but not fried with the crunchiness of the breading, the excellent ricotta cream, still hot you can taste the irises after 5pm, not before, they are always fresh produced the same day. It is an obligatory stop every time I go to my town, even if it is not the objective of the trip I always stop in Monreale to enjoy what has not changed in many years, the perfection of what is good or quality!!
