The photos of the place are not real. They don't have the terrace in the front of the Cathedral. The Carbonara was oversalted. It was cooking for 40 minutes. The waiter ran to the nearest store for the beer for me and they sold the small beer for the price of big one (3 euro). I don't advice this place. And please don't go down to their basement! The reviews are clearly made by relatives (in fact they are 5 stars and everyone has only given one review, this one) having said that the place is nothing special, normally things would cost 30% less if it weren't for the fact that it is located in front of the cathedral . still very good food (at least the sandwich I got) but endless waiting times for such simple things, and there were 2 of us in the whole place. I was there with 2 friends of mine. They will tell their stories themselves. We ordered 2 big(66 cl beers Moretti and 3 dishes. I took a panini with ham and mozzarella. First of all we were the only visitors at that time and despite this we've waited for beer for something about 15 minutes. Guy from the Cafe bought beer in the shop near here (we saw it and they put on the table not big but small (33 cl battles of beer. Then we were waiting for the food for about 25 30 minutes (even my usual panini and again the guy came to the shop for the ingredients:D Nevermind the food still can be delicious! we thought. But no, my panini (45 50 min cooked was really awful. It contained not melted pieces of cheese, some ham and a sausage(??? Then we came to pay. Small beers were included in the check as big ones. We spent 5 minutes to explain it can't works that way. And finally they cut sum for the beer from 3 euro per each big one to 2,5 for small one (seems strange . Briefly: we were cheated financially, we waited our dishes and beverages for too long, meal was awful. As a result, the impressions of visiting Monreale were spoilt.
