Bidra med feedbackPorto Ghiacciolo is a fantastic little beach not far from Monopoli. And this bar is just picture postcard perfect white, timber, low slung across the rocks on one side. The perfect spot for a lazy aperitif. Marked them down for serving my espresso in a plastic cup...
... such a great beach experience, with a big fort-like castle (a former monastery) on one side of the bay. Ghiaccio means ice and the water reflects that... apparently a cold underwater spring runs into the bay. Lunch was just fine with a big plate of spaghetti con vongole served with decent rose' wine.
I absolutely loved Porto Ghiacciolo. We were there on a quiet Thursday in May and enjoyed a glass white wine at the bar overlooking the fort followed by an amazing bowl of seafood pasta. I can imagine the tiny cove gets rather busy in August but it was bliss in May.
Un'oasi di pace e gentilezza. luogo giovane e riservato. elegante ma a portata di tutti. contenuto nei prezzi. perfetto per una giornata estiva al mare in totale relax e riservatezza. una baia da scoprire
Spettacolare spiaggia, ampio e parcheggio custodito, bar attrezzato e molto tipico. posto consigliato
