Locanda Indelli - MONOPOLI

My brother in law stayed in this hotel for a night so suggested that my husband, his other brother, sister in law and I meet up for dinner in their patio restaurant in the Old Square. It was a lovely evening and the waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ended up having to wait quite a while for the meals. The three brothers chose a speciality it was a fish special for three people (Rock Cod with pasta). The presentation was very good but the fish itself was average tasting. I had roasted eggplant in a tomato sauce with a side order of roasted vegetables. My sister in law had a salad and roasted vegetables. The waiter brought my sister in law an order of fries instead of the salad but he went back to the kitchen when she asked about the salad. It was a fun evening and we enjoyed the festive atmosphere in the courtyard with the many diners in the other restaurants nearby. I 'm going to put very good for the service as I mean the service of the waiter not the long wait for the food!

So many nice places in Monopoli, but this is not one of them. Uninspired tasteless food unfortunately. The fact that there were no italians eating here should’ve warned us.

Had dinner in Locanda Indelli tonight. The meal started promisingly with a tasty hors d 'oeuvres but went downhill from there. We had to wait over 1 hour for our meal 2 pasta dishes one so al dente the spaghetti stuck to my teeth. The squid main was very tasty. The fish and chips for our 11 year old ordered from the adult menu was tiny he described it as a small starter portion. No apology was given for the long wait. Also considering portion sizes it was extremely over priced. We were all still hungry after spending over 100 euro. We will not go back. Very disappointing as it is our 10th night in Monopoli and our first poor meal.

Gli amici ci avevano consigliato questa locanda, così abbiamo deciso di darci una serata. Non appena siamo entrati abbiamo notato la raffinatezza della stanza, molto bella,tipica della zona, abbiamo ordinato un menu completo, tutto a base di pesce e tutto il bene, i prodotti sono di qualità, i tartare sono deliziosi così come i primi piatti, spaghetti con la polpa ricci erano eccellenti. Torneremo sicuramente.

Pesce squisito, baba sublime e proprietario molto gentile. Sono felice di festeggiare il mio compleanno.
