Dal Ghiottone - MONOPOLI

We were looking for classic Apulian food in Monopoli and came upon this restaurant. The Strascinate con ragù di polpo and Orecchiette alla Nerano were wonderful. Highly recommended for a nice dinner in town.

Great food and lovely service. We had lovely primo specialty pasta followed by a fantastic seafood mix grill. My son had a steak and it was cooked to perfection. Best fries ever! Not the regular fries… I don’t usually eat fries but couldn’t stop pinching them from my son’ plate : D Gianni is a lovely gentleman. Even though we have come here for a dinner in the evening before the Ferragosto (bank holiday in Italy 15th of August) we have been seated quite fast unlike the other places. The seafood pasta was by all means one of the best plates we have had during our holidays in Italy. Chardonnay which we ordered was as well a perfect match with our seafood meals. If you want to have some fresh seafood prepared lightly this is definitely the place to eat! Sitting outside in the cute little square makes the atmosphere even more authentic. Highly recommended!

We didn't want an anonymous and standardized place. we chose it for some menu details that distinguish it from the mass and we saw it right! Earrings with screaming rape spikes! perfect fave and chicory. savor absolutely also burratina and capocollo. We'll definitely come back. recommended recommended
