Kings Head - Monmouthshire

Popped in for a drink with friends.. Friendly staff and a good victory the pub.

We celebrated a colleague's birthday by dining at the Kings Head and were not disappointed. My Rib Eye Steak was cooked perfectly, and I also ordered mushrooms and garlic bread. The portions were generous, with enough to share. My colleague had the chicken curry, which came with a large portion of rice and a separate bowl of chips. The menu offers a variety of options, and there are weekly specials listed on a blackboard. The atmosphere of the bar and restaurant is charming, reminiscent of an old Coaching Inn. It is a relaxing place with a great selection of drinks. The Kings Head is located in the historic town of Usk, with accommodation available for those who want to stay. The staff were polite and helpful. I would definitely return to the Kings Head, as it offers quality that is hard to find these days.

I highly recommend this charming pub with a slightly old-fashioned feel. The ambiance is great, as well as the staff. The menu offers a good selection of food and drinks. The food is incredible - I especially enjoyed the lasagne and the steak pie, which was unforgettable. The fish dishes and sides were also delicious. From observing others' meals, everything looked amazing. The prices were very reasonable, in fact, I would say they were slightly cheap. Overall, I would give this place a 10 out of 10 recommendation.

Very good Whitebait and Sunday Roast Lamb. Friendly service.
