Fish House - Monhegan Island

Good food right on the beach with great views of the harbor.

A perfect little eatery on the island. Great menu, efficient staff, and a cozy little spot on a small beach to eat and meet other travelers. Some of the absolute best lobster bisque I've ever had!

Pricey, as is everything on the island, but the food overall is quite good. We had fish tacos, shrimp tacos, lobster, and a lobster roll across two visits and they were all very good. Wait can be a little long at times, but nothing too unreasonable. Staff was helpful and hospitable. Would recommend stopping in for sure. Atmosphere is rustic but nice views of the harbor on the picnic tables and chairs.

What can be said....fresh, delicious, and ample seafood eaten while sitting on a picnic table overlooking the beach and harbor. Memories that are priceless!

The Fish House has the best fish tacos in the state. 10/10. They were so good that I had them three times in three days. If you are on Monhegan don't miss them. Magical food in a magical place.
