Bidra med feedback(forgive me for the steak being eaten a bit in the photo i was hungry) i like this place! every now and then i come here to get one of their to-go meals, they are both affordable and delicious. this time i got to come here to dine in for breakfast. the waitress that greeted me and my ma was nice, seemed to be in a bit of a hurry but i don't blame her. food service is a tough job. she was as welcoming and cheerful she could be, though! i was also NOT expecting that i'd get an entire (small) teapot for breakfast, but it warmed me up well. i'll be honest that i was hesitant to come have breakfast here since the prices for it are a bit high. i usually can't afford stuff like this but i did come anyway and boy they did not disappoint at the size of the dish i've been eyeing on. it's quite hefty, and it comes with two slices of toast! the steak and eggs were cooked to my request, medium-rare and scrambled. it is nothing fancy and i appreciate that, it's nice to enjoy simplicity every once in a while. the food is plain but hey, you get to season it with as much salt and pepper you need. the potatoes (and extra onions) were delicious. surprisingly, the steak goes super well with some cranberry sauce and ketchup (that didn't come with the dish, it's there because i was curious if it worked together). the atmosphere in the restaurant is quite homely and warm, old-fashioned but honestly i like old-fashioned lmao. reminds me of what i grew up with. really want to come again during dinnertime some day, the options were more plentiful and diverse.Parking: it's right outside the place, around at the sides of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: even though it has a ramp, you can pretty much say goodbye to an accessible door into the restaurant. so far i have not noticed a door opening button for wheelchair users, and the entrance is a very narrow two-doorway one. bring someone or two to come with you if this is a problem for you.Dietary restrictions: it Is your average joe canadian restaurant, so if you can't eat pork for whatever reason, i don't reccomend to come during breakfast (unless you want the steak and eggs)
I have family that had went to Hynes. First time they said was good, second time they said it was terrible. I decided to go and see for myself. I have to agree with terrible. I had an awful breakfast sandwich, which ironically I believe was a new menu item. It was so dry and gross. The prices for breakfast items were so high as well, I couldn 't believe it! Charging THAT much for food and having the old and run down atmosphere of this restaurant doesn 't quite add up!? It 's a diner at best. Should be diner prices. Ridiculous. The only good thing was my waitress. She was quite friendly, but made me wait a long time after I said I wasn 't quite ready to order after she initially came to the table.I can 't say I 'll be returning to this establishment. Missed the mark for me.
The food at this restaurant is excellent and the staff is even better! Much appreciation to everyone, but a special shoutout to Sharon. She adds even more fun and enjoyment to that fantastic place! The strawberry shortcake was great too.
Who doesn’t love Hynes restaurant, yummy grub and great service! I had the pleasure of being served by Stephanie who was an absolute ray of sunshine! She made our night extra special.
I had a memorable meal at this restaurant 10 years ago and it left a lasting impression on me. I recently returned and was pleased to see that the place had not changed at all. The prices have gone up since my last visit, as $98 now feeds a family of 4, consisting of 2 adults and 2 children.
