Bidra med feedbackThis pub is just around the corner from my house, literally a 3 minute drive. The staff are friendly, the beer is cold, and the food is always hot. I visited on Friday, May 24th at 6:30pm with a co worker and her mother. The Fox...(which we all call it) has a classic pub menu with a few splashes of breakfast when you want it. However I would recommend all of it so its hard to choose. I visited last night and ordered a burger for the first time (The Fireside Burger). The name would suggest that it is supposed to be hot but it's really comfortable heat with some good flavours. Although next time I may ask for less jalepenos. They have raddler on tap which is what I drank at this meal and I also substitued my regular fries for sweet potato fries w/sauce. This was not to my dissapointment the S.P fries were the bomb.com big plate with delicious dip. The booths are comfy and have their own USB chargers and you can control the lighting, nice touch for sure. The pub also has a pool table, pinball machines, a full bar, and VLTs so if your looking for a while out you can deff hit up the Fox you want be dissapointed I promise. And also the prices are great! for 3 people with booze the bill was under $65 before tip.
Sort of sport-bar-ish. OK for a pub in this market. Nice enough atmosphere for something in a mall :).
We visited the restaurant on the first day of the green level for COVID restrictions being lifted. We noticed upon entering that no one besides us was wearing a mask, not even the staff. The restaurant was about 75% full on a Saturday night. We sat down and waited for a server, who never came to our table even after being at the table next to us twice. None of the other servers acknowledged us. After being ignored for about 15 minutes, we decided to leave. We ended up going to another bar in Riverview (Five Bridges) where we were promptly greeted and served with proper health protocols in place (employees wearing masks, etc.). This will be our last visit to Fox 'n Hound.
I am a twenty-five years parade of the bar that was bought by curtis knitland and family 10 plus years ago. I visited restaurants and bars throughout the city and the maritime. it is not easy that the fox and hound the best. food and service they always update their menus to try new and different dings. you feel like a norm of cheers when you come in, like you drink with a hallo and your fallen drink when you are regular without asking. where do they know a pub where it is so busy that they have to make reservations? the wet night is the nap night, and my friend gilles who traveled the world said that these are the best ripening he ever had anywhere! wing night on thurs, pick them up there early as it is packed, fantastic wings with entertainment on the stage. pizza, fish and chips, burger, etc. etc. etc. are all fantastic. if there are any problems, they do it right. they bring fantastic acts for music to enjoy in the evening at the weekends to enjoy in a very cozy atmosphere. a fantastic adjacent kapuze bar, which is not very well known by most monctonians. we love it in riverview!
We adore The Fox for their Thursday night wings. It is a welcoming spot with excellent food and cold, refreshing beer. The wings are fantastic and the poutine is delectable. We always return for more. Don't miss out on this great dining experience!
