Bidra med feedbackBest Mughlai cuisine in Mombasa At some point, one does get a bit tired of all the barbeque joints that are a staple of dining out in Mombasa. That's where Shehnai Restaurant comes in. Boasting a large variety of Mughlai based dishes, you simply cannot go wrong here. Rated amongst the top restaurants in Kenya, Shehnai Restaurant is a family owned business, and the proprietor is always on hand to give a warm welcome whilst giving personal attention at your table, which is quite a rarity nowadays. Some of the must-try dishes include the butter chicken, malai tikka, chili prawns and gajar ka halwa (carrot dessert). Oh, and in case this is a birthday treat for one of your loved ones, don't forget to mention it to the proprietor for a special birthday surprise!

Great location in the middle of the CBD with a cool ambience. Good for meeting and conversation. Great food, absolutely loved. Value for money. Great service, attentive and practical staff Very recommended!
Must visit Mombasa city. Would you like to get a better Indian Briyani in Mombasa to this hotel. atmosphere was elegant, service was very good. Health and hygiene were very practiced. Cleaning your hand with a hot towel with the natural elements was an innovative practice that I have not seen yet. At the end of your meal you will find a natural Supari mouth fresh digestive agent will give excellent finish.
They are closed on Monday. So I went there on Tuesday. My reception was great and this greeted me with greetings and smiles. In the entrance I saw a lot of certificates hanging on the wall that this restaurant received as an award from recognized Travle companies around the world. Like hospitality, tripadvisor, other safari and tourism bodies and they looked amazing to me. The interior is very beautiful and they serve people onntable ala map. Due to the Kovid 19 illustration, I did not find other customers othar than I did then. The waiter brought Mene Card and I began to read more than 100 different types of dishes were listed on this card and price was appropriate. Most foods were from Asian cuisine and I asked for hyderabadi biryani. The manager suggested me to order one of their best biryani called swahili biryani and I accepted the offer. Both cost the same. After 15 minutes waiting, they served me biryani with Koka Cola, Chutnyies and Curd. I asked about spicy Biryani and they fulfilled my requirement. I liked the taste so much that I decided to write this review. I enjoyed instrumental music in the background and liked the ambience of the dining room. The pain of the old times touched me and antique collection it objects mesmerized me. This restaurant met my expectations and would like to visit them again. I asked for the bill, and they brought mouthdressers with Vill. I felt very happy about this lunch. Thanks Team Shahnai.
