We've been there for years in the summer. then we sat on the small but fine terrace and we liked it very well. we also feel that we should return more often, but as it is, the years go and only now, because we have been looking for a place for the 1st Christmas day, I have recovered this place. So we reserved ourselves for christmas and since we wanted to eat there again, so we were there yesterday, we saw this gas house from inside. very cozy and rustic. there also leads a staircase up where there are other space. we sat right over the switch. the entire lower surface was decorated with christmas and the tables were beautifully covered. there were white fabric napkins that were thought to be on the lap because there were still red disposable serviettes immersed in the fabric napkins. the operators manage their own ink with 200 bee colonies. in front of the counter are also unimaginable many glasses stacked with various honigens that you can buy. we were allowed to bury the honeys and buy a small glass of deep-saving and a large glassy honey to a total of 16 euro. the amount does not appear on the invoice, since the honey is calculated separately. we have not tested all kinds, because we did not want to eat our honeysatt, they also have their own geese breeding. there were several people who picked up a finished roasted gans including supplements. we first ordered bitburgerpils 0.3L to 2,90 euro. as a greeting from the kitchen there were gänseleber and baguette. because I didn't eat that, my husband also took mine. it tasted him very well and he regretted that I didn't eat so many more. we both took the wine-growing chicks to 10,80 euro. they were very hot and there were 6 pieces served in a chick. delicious with root vegetables and congratulated with a screw butter. there was a little baguette. my man took as main food geese roasts from the breast with red cabbage, cracked, frying apfel and glazed chest at 32.50 euro. he was thrilled. he could choose between rose cabbage and red cabbage. because he is not a rosary fan, he chose a red-cream. that was not from the glass, but fresh and very good cost. the buds had a broth and the sauce was beautiful natural and not thickened with mandelamine. the gans was perfect and also bratapfel and chestnuts came to him very good. quality they just taste and then they want to pay a little more. I chose the red-barschfilet with endivien-kartoffelstampf and gurkenremoulade up to 19,80 euro. I was a little insecure about the kartoffel bump when there is no speculation. by chance, the owner stood close and got my insecurity. he asked if he could help me. when I told him my reservation, he calmed me down. as more and more people don't eat a dick anymore, it will be declared extra if something is contained by a pig in a dish. so calmed, so I could order this court without reservation. that was delicious. the fish perfectly fried with a thin pink fried panade. instead of lemon, lime pots, which were briefly heated and these hurled graves. only good. na and the Endivien-Kartoffelstampf was also a dense. not to forget these delicious gurkenremoulade. That was really good. Actually, I wanted to dessert at least one, but I was so tired that only one espresso went. So we finally drank an espresso to 2,10 euro. he was nice hot and there was a very tasty homemade praline next to him. Typisch Niederrheinische Schankwirtschaft. Sehr guter und freundlicher Service. Die Gans war sehr lecker. Die Beilagen waren auch gut bis auf den Rosenkohl.
Bin wieder hier zum Gänseessen. Ein Tisch für 8 Personen reserviert, der Parkplatz ist voll, der Empfang ist freundlich, es ist warm und gut besucht (ausgebucht). Der Tisch ist schön eingedeckt, die Deko ist festlich, man fühlt sich wohl. An den Wänden Bilder vom Niederrhein, hier ist man mitten drin.Der Service ist bemüht und reicht die Getränke schnell durch die Bank. Der Gruß aus der Küche ist Leberpastete, nicht alle mögen das. Die Speisekarte hat die üblichen Speisen, ein Menü und Gänse in unterschiedlichen Größen. Am Tisch bestellen viele den Gänsebraten, einer ein Wildschwein, ein anderer das Kalbschnitzel. Die kleine Ganz teile ich mir mit einem ausgehungerten Verwandten.Die Raumakustik ist passabel, in der Gaststätte ist es zu warm. Da sich mehre Servicekräfte um uns kümmern kommt es zu Doppelbestellungen. Nach den Umständen entsprechender Wartezeit kommt das Essen für alle schließlich just in time. Die Beilagen für alle in großen Schüsseln, finde ich klasse, Rotkohl, Rosenkohl, Klöße, Maronen und Sauce, alles zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Die Gänsegerichte sind top, zerteilt oder im Ganzen, egal. Das Wildschwein ist ebenso makellos wie auch das Kalbschnitzel, der dazugehörige kleine Salat und die Bratkartoffeln.Von der Menge her sehr reichlich ist jeder am Tisch zufrieden, der Espresso ist heiß und stark, ein letztes Budweiser vom Fass, ab nach Hause.FazitDie Küche zeigt auch unter Hochlast ihre Klasse. Der Service schwächelt etwas, ist nicht alles top. Trotzdem, hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Der große Zuspruch der Gäste ist der Beleg. Wir sagen vielen Dank, weiter so Herr Weissbacher.
