Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is incredible! It is the best grill house around! The service is great, the servers are friendly, and the prices are low. It felt like dining at The Keg! If you are in the Dixie and Dundas area, you must visit this restaurant.
My husband and I typically dine at The Keg 2 to 3 times a week, but we decided to try out this new restaurant. My husband ordered the steak dinner and I chose the fish and chips. He was extremely impressed with the steak, which was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The chef even added mushrooms and onions without him having to ask, which made him very happy. He even went to personally thank the chef for the delicious meal. Our first waitress was good, but our most recent one didn't tend to us very well. She didn't check on us, offer refills, or ask if we wanted another drink. The restaurant was not busy, so we were puzzled as to why she wasn't more attentive. The restaurant was clean and we enjoyed the spacious booths, which was great for my tall husband. Most of the staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant and will definitely be returning in the future.
This family restaurant attracts many clients because of the excellent value of the meals served. Go visit. You will enjoy the food and the service. Thanks to the cooking and serving staffs.
Not sure when they did the reno and changed the name to Stanfield Grill but it's still a family restaurant overall.I guess it was out with the Mel's Diner fixtures (I'm dating myself here!) and in came the booths, dark wood, stack stones and the like. If I'm wrong, then the owners years ago were forward thinkers. The clientele are mostly locals and regular. They were packed for late lunchtime. My buds and I had the fish and chips and two Wednesday specials (Burgers, Poutine, Pop). It was standard diner fair. Nice size burger patty that look homemade with a decent serving of poutine. Tasted quite good. The have a full bar, and something different on the food menu each day. The wait staff are friendly, helpful, honest - yep...told me what I would definitely no want! LOL!Worth a return trip if I end up in that part of town again.Cheers!
Things seemed to have changed at one of our fav restaurants in the area. Went for lunch on April 6th arriving no later than 12:30pm. Decided to have the Reuben sandwich and my husband decided to have the Corned Beef sandwich. Placed our order with the waitress who then said, oh, by the way, we have run out of RYE bread. How can you run out of rye bread by 12:30 noon??? Noticed quite a few tables with just one person at them. Is this saying something? Really too bad as the waitresses are very pleasant and the food is good. Hope it was just an off day.
