Bidra med feedbackOn Facebook, this restaurant receives mostly positive reviews and I generally agree. The restaurant is clean, the portions are generous, and there is a wide variety of choices on the menu. However, my issue lies with the unfriendly service, which borderlines on rude. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common trend among many Trinidadians in the service industry. When it comes to Radica's Mississauga, I can't say that it offers a unique dining experience. I do visit from time to time because of its proximity to my home, despite being disappointed with the lack of hospitality. That being said, I did enjoy my doubles during my most recent visit.
On September 25, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., I visited Radicas Hot and Spicy on Winston Churchill in Mississauga for the third time. Upon arrival, the restaurant was busy with diners in the dining room and there were about 4 people in line. I placed my order for a boneless chicken roti with extra sauce, specifying that I wanted it extra spicy. However, I was surprised when my order number (262) was called and I received my meal on a square red plastic plate with a plastic knife and fork set, rather than the usual white porcelain plate. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they offered to correct the mistake, but I was on a lunch break and didn't have time to wait. Unfortunately, the meal I received did not have the extra sauce or spiciness I had requested. It was disappointing that the staff couldn't get it right the first time. Overall, I was left unsatisfied with my experience and I doubt the young man working there will find much satisfaction in his current career.
A roti with a correct spice level, unlike most food in Canada. If you ask for hot, it will be hot. The goatery wrap was fantastic and the chicken cakes were so good. I'm uncertain about the other comments on staff or... management when I ate here, they were very nice to speak, came and asked if our food was okay, explained their background to the type of food and other things we asked about. Definitely a good place for a spice bread and curry plate.
The Chicken Roti was good ith beautiful large part could be shared with 2 persons. The doubles were not so large, and the additional charge of 50 cents for such small container Od hot sauce was a tear. The service has been added more... Smiling!
Grabbed a quick takeaway for lunch goat roti. Place looked clean and reasonably spacious. Good parking. Staff were helpful and efficient. I didn't add any spice since this was my first visit and have had some unwanted tongue burning experiences in the past. Roti...bread was soft but absorbed the sauce without dripping or going too soggy. Filling was moist, well cooked and tasty. Will visit again and try the impact of more spice which I hope will draw out the taste
