Bidra med feedbackFlying at home early in the morning and had not eaten, so I took an 11.00 egg salad sandwich at Camden Essen in safety. There was literally nothing inside when I opened it, except a little dry egg salad?inside. No, maybe only egg and mustard. Half the sandwich is completely empty. The ladies of Camden were very nice, but the food was terrible. Coffee was okay...
When I went to Halifax from Toronto on a plane, I stopped here with a child for breakfast. I have him a breakfast sandwich with a water for $16; I have an orange juice, coffee and a container with fruit for $14. The coffee is... okay, but I'd go after Tims and brave the long line next time. My cup wasn't full either. The fruit was fresh, but the $6 price tag in the end was not worth it. The juice was standard Dole juice, but far overpriced. I understand it is the airport and you have a captured audience, but you can just take it on travellers! Next time I will avoid and stand the 20min Tim line. It's easier on my credit card.
Ignore the overpriced carbs and the head for the salad bar. I built the biggest I could, and only paid $10... filled with amazing odds. I had previously bought a prefabricated Greek salad, which was about 1/3 of the size, and paid $15. If you are in the area of D32, make sure you are looking for this small hole in the wall. Upstairs with a chocolate milk for under $2, and you laugh.
We recently came back from a place where a salad meant a small serving of greens. Camden Food Co. offered us the chance to create our own fresh salad, all for a much lower cost than the pre-made salads at the airport. This was a fantastic experience and a wonderful way to welcome us back home. For all the salad enthusiasts out there, be sure to check out Camden Food Co. when passing through Terminal D!
I had a short layover at Pearson Airport on my way to Ottawa. I decided to stop by a restaurant and got a sandwich and water. I found the sandwich to be quite expensive for what I received. It was basically just a baguette with some mustard, meat, and lettuce. I don't mind paying extra for good quality, but this sandwich was not worth the price. I will not be stopping here again during my flights through Pearson Airport.
