Bidra med feedbackWe went due to a Wagjag deal. I took a look at the website, and it seemed appealing enough to go through with purchasing the Wagjag. We bought 2 with the intention of inviting our close friends. When we got there, the parking lot was fairly empty. You can see a sign that points to the entrance. When you enter, we could tell right away that this place was new. We made reservations due to the Wagjag, but the place was fairly empty at 8:00 pm.Some parts/areas of the restaurant were recently redesigned, and some parts were not. I'm assuming it was a banquet hall in the past and converted to a buffet restaurant. We were seated in a booth and the seats were higher than normal. We had a feeling that this place did not have it's liquor license yet, which was disappointing as we were looking forward to some wine with dinner since it's Meditteranean cuisine. The service started off slow and we thought it would be disappointing all the way through. We started to eat and the food was fair. It started to offset the bad start to the service. One of our friends took a look at their site and saw that moussaka was on the menu as was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it wasn't being served and she was told that it hasn't been as popular. We noticed that at around 8:45 pm or so, the place started to fill up quite fast. I then realized that it's Ramadan. We noticed that those particular tables were being served some Samosas and a type of juice. During this time, the service seemed to have improved quite dramatically as well. The wait staff appeared to be fairly new, but they were putting a lot of effort and by this time, they were checking in on us very often. We asked for Samosas and got some, which were very good. I believe it was the owner that also gave us the juice, which is a traditional apricot virgin cocktail, which was also good. The Wagjag definitely made this a great value. It appears that they are intent on improving the place and we were told that they are awaiting approval of their liquor license. I believe that this place will provide a better experience at that time. The regular pricing is decent, but may not be as good value at this time.
The food was awful. It looked as though it was leftovers from the day before or had been sitting there for hours. We went for 7pm. Called to see if a reservation was necessary. I was told that it was best to make a reservation. The place was empty!Initally, looking over the "buffet"; it was not appealing at all. Nothing like the pics on their website!!!I was looking forward to the shishkbob;'s they present. They did not exist. I think some of the meat was supposed to be shishkbobs. Their "salad bar" had the basic ingredients. Good calamata olives. Great naan breads. They present you with a fresh hot olive naan at your table.I agree the food was sparse and not at all appealing to look at. Most of it either had no taste, or if it did.. it all had the same taste. It was awful!Had a Wagjag coupon. 2 for 1. I would have been very ticked if it was not so cheap. Would not go back. It was yukkie!I feel badly for the owner... this place wont fly. No matter how many times the owner or his wife kept coming out to look at the buffet and "stir" up each tray just to make it look fresh... it was still not appealing. The beautiful fresh fruit platter they show on their website with: blueberries, strawberries, cantalope, honeydew, water melon, pineapple, red grapes, green grapes and blackberries....was non existent. The only fresh fruit was some orange pieces that looked like they had been cut up at least a day ago. Pretty sad. The desserts: as some one else mentioned; looked like they came from some Costco slabs.Met a family that was about to come in when we left. Described the lack of patrons and the food quality...they left before entering. The food was terrible. Do not go by the pics on their website. Would not go back. I can only hope that their daily lunch crowd can support their business. Maybe the food is fresher.
Lets start off by saying that nothing at this restaurant is worth the money it costs. Started off by being seated in the middle of the restaurant at such a tiny table, bad start but moved to another but still felt to close to the next table beside us. We ordered our cokes which came in such tiny cups that probably fit half a cans worth. Walked over to the buffet and the selection was very poor. Not only was it a small selection, most of the items were totally empty and never got filled up again before we left. The website shows that they have many breads and the funny thing is was they had no bread att all the first time up, and by the time I went a second time, there was only 1 piece. Never got to try some of the things advertised as they never had it at all. As for the quality of the food, I think Ill stick to shwarmas and falafels from my current favorite spots, at a third of the cost. Honestly, the vibe I got from the restaurant was give us your cash and get out. Service was terrible and I will never consider visiting here again, even if they paid me. A very cold atmoshphere. Two big thumbs down, to the first buffet restaurant that I left without even going to the dessert bar.
This is likely the worst restaurant in Mississauga that you could choose to dine at.
Got a coupon in Wagjag for Dinner just to try it. And guess what, not a good experienced for a newly opened mediterrenean buffet. The food was not really attractive compare to TBFG in Dixie. The Buffet table was almost empty or maybe they are not filling up because customer are coming one by one. No fruit dessert, only couple of ice cream flavor choices and few choices of cakes also almost empty. Absolutely NO Repeat ... with that prize and food.
