Food and chefs are great, reception staff would rather eat at the front desk than seat people! Bar is closed so you have to stand around in their tiny waiting room until the entire party is here before you can get a drink. They seem to have to turn everyone away due to lack of staff, going to try soho down the road Atleast they are friendly and can let you have drinks while you wait! My chef was definitely suffering from burnout. You can tell he doesn't like his job. The dipping sauces had a chemical taste to them, I couldnt even use them. No sushi, and honestly, the last time I got it, it was rubbery and tasted like stagnant lake water. Bar isn't open, but you can order drinks. Bathrooms are 100% filthy. I have been to gas station bathrooms with better cleanliness. This place isn't what it used to be 5 years ago. An overpriced novelty that definitely gives you diarrhea. Vegetarian options: Yes they have vegetarian options but they cook all of their dishes together. So you are getting meat anyways. They put meat on my boyfriend's plate as a joke, part of the show. Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions get thrown out the window here. Do not even think they will separate your food from the masses. Took my wife here for her 50th birthday. We had Dave as our chef and he was great! We had a great time and the food was awesome. Highly recommend Hana-Yori for some good eats and a show. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
