Bidra med feedbackMeng Chai has moved to a new location in Tanjung Lobang Stände, we were initially skeptical with the new setup, but decided to give him a chance. The grilled fish was fresh and tasty, the same for the steamed shells and the fried chicken feet. However, the fried lamb would give a mistrust the next time, it was quite dry and salty. Happy to see Meng Chai again open!
This pretty little restaurant serves fresh seafood that are perfectly prepared. They are not the high-end restaurants with 5 stars ambience, but serve food in the value of the 5 stars! If you are a seafood lover, you will know that this is the place for the fresh catch of the day! Strongly recommend their deep fried sotong, grill sardine and of course the local fern must try that is a Sarawak delicacies “Midin” cooked with red wine.
Personally my favorite and freshest seafood place in Miri. I need to know what to order and would say that her roasted Calamari or sotong goreng is the best. Also recommend the mackerel, sardines, garlic pomfret just a few.
Must try dishes: 1. Deep fried soft shell crab 2. Manichai Veggi with egg 3. BBQ garlic Golden Pomphret fish fry 4. Tom Yam River Prawns 5. Seafood fried rice Delicious food...we recommend this place
They fried the prawn really crispy that i cn even eat the prawn with the shell!The steamed tom yam are delicious too!Nt too spicy and selfmade tomyam compare to other place that use instant tomyam! Sorry for the picture though, just remembered to take photos after eaten some prawns
