Smith Porter - Minneapolis

The restaurant knew that we were sitting with a time frame (theater tickets) that they were very aware. they relaxed our dinner service, but also drew attention to the timetable. also — popover! what a beautiful surprise. great service, good cocktails, a very pleasant experience.

Special dinner (new Year’s eve) was pleasant, but more than necessary or expected. the menu included full dinner with wine, free, sweet, kartoffel, salad and large dessert. we would have preferred ala carte options. warm, large popover with honey butter were excellent. prime rib, carrots and kartoffels were very good, even if the menu was served certain kartoffels and kartoffels. the butternut ravioli from partner was too salty to be enjoyed. dessert was a large portion of frost red velvet covered with large chocolate strawberry. each of us enjoyed two portions of cake the next day.

It was fabulous! we went to smith and porters silvester dinner and were very satisfied. kailee, our waitress was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. the music level was tolerable, the noise level in general was low enough for a nice conversation and we love the ambiente with a beautiful fireplace, large soft lighting and tables not crowded. we had the sea bass, and the chefs know how to cook fish (this also applies to other seafood menu points.) the side of the grilled spagel and the fertilizer salad (I want the recipe was delicious, and the lonely and huge red velvet was also laughed. I hope it will soon be a bit very chocolaty (gluten and lactose free for my tastes, too. that brings me to a small lob of lightness with which the personal (alex especially try to make their guests happy. many thanks to smith and porter, for a wonderful silvester 2022. we will see you next year again!

Our experience at smith porter was a total disappointment! we were on time at 5:30 a.m. at our reservation and finally found the mpls parking app at 6:00 a.m. we had to be at 7:00 a.m. in the good cry, so we asked the server what we could get fast and she said that this was unfortunately 30 minutes, but a burger with pommes was fast, so we ordered burger. at 6:50 we had no food yet, so we went. I still wonder if the cook went out because the table next to us (they were before us) never received their food. I will never return to this facility again! very disappointing.

4 of us had the Prime Rib at $39.95. The two ordered medium rare were about 1/4 inch thick. Impossible to cook to medium rare. The two who ordered it medium well got meat that was about 3/4 inch thick. None of the 4 were as tender as they should have been.
