We were at Ono Hawaiian plates for the fundraiser luau to raise money for the catastrophe in Lahaina Maui. It was very well done. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. . They had plenty of help so your water glass was always filled and dirty dishes were promptly removed when you went back for more food. thank you Ono Hawaiian plates for sponsoring this fundraiser.
The Hawaiian bbq chicken was nice 6-10 a little undercooked but the flavor was nice. But the rice was a mush fest 1-10 and I feel for what they charge the rice should be right. And the macaroni salad was okay 4-10
The spam masubi was delicious. We also ordered Hawaiian fried rice, which was so good! This is a great way to experience the taste of Hawaii in the Twin Cities.
The wait was reasonable. However, the food came out cold. They mixed up cleaned and dirty dishes, got the chicken and kalbi combo, and the chicken was burnt. I think that if you haven't tried the island food you will probably say it was delicious. The only thing delicious was the kalbi ? korean sauce was used other than that, moving to the next chow. Fries was hard like it's been sitting out waiting to be ordered.
