We took a chance, first time trying Jamaican food, and the location is a bit unique, but so glad we did! Very simple, but cute, clean and relaxing when you enter. The hostess/waitress was very nice and attentive. She was able to answer questions and gave personal opinions and also what other customers prefer. We ordered j wings to start....very tasty, good level of spice, interesting and flavorful sauce. I ordered the red snapper and hubby ordered the oxtail. Both were delicious! Appropriate level of spice for what we requested. The oxtail was like the best pot roast texture he's ever had, with a rich, hearty sauce with a bit of heat. The red snapper was presented beautifully, perfectly done, and the crispness and delicate flavor was enhanced by the pickled veggies that brought some spicy! Both the owner and chef stopped by the table. This place was such a great experience with delicious food! Looking forward to our next venture cheer!
I'm usually not one to complain about service, but our last experience here was abysmal. The place was empty but we had to ask for menus and track down wait staff to make orders or get refills. Then the waitress didn't know which items had sides, multiple of our items were mis-charged, and it was well over an hour before we got food. It's a shame too because the food was really good and the waitress was really friendly, it just seems like the management needs major improvement.
Friday evening and there are like 4 couples in here, should have been the first sign. An hour after ordering food, the waitress came out an informed me they are out of hamburgers? A bit late for that. Paid for drinks and left. Hope they figure it out. Looks like it could be a decent place. Normally a non issue, but considering all. We bought their last 3 coors lights, the milk was frozen, and apparently an hour after ordering they figure out they are out of hamburgers.
Was super excited to go here for my birthday with my friends. Service was AWFUL. I was a server for 20 years and it was BEYOND awful. The food was ok. we ordered and they were out of 5 things we ordered. there were 7 of us. The menu said Rum Punch $5. I was charged $10, when I asked about it she said oh that's the non alcoholic price. I told her had I known that I wouldn't have ordered it for $10. they would not remove from the bill. Our server gave me attitude and was very rude. plus if you order a non alcoholic Rum Punch wouldn't it just be Punch. The cool was getting high in his car in the parking lot. the devils lettuce was in the air. Will never return.
