Grand Cafe - Minneapolis

We were very impressed with our first visit to Grand Cafe. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, and the casual yet pleasant ambiance added to the dining experience. Although the lighting in the back room could have been improved, the delicious dishes exceeded our expectations. This restaurant is a true neighborhood gem and offers some of the best food in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Over half the restaurant was empty and they took 10 minutes to seat us in a table that had been open the whole time. Food was overpriced and my boyfriend hardly touched his entree because it was not good.

This place was great! I ordered the poached eggs they were really good. The mimosas were really good, one of the best mimosas I ever had. The banana and chocolate bread was fresh and warm. I didn’t rate this place a 5 because I felt like the waitress was rushing us. She was really nice, but constantly asked if we wanted our meals to be boxed although we were still eating.

The food was excellent. Those who served knew what they liked and spoke of the extraordinary dishes that required the touch of a poet.
